Celebrating the King’s Coronation! We certainly know how to do things in style at Hob Moor Oaks – the children looked fabulous in their red, white and blue themed outfits and their homemade crowns. In our assembly we sang and signed God Save the King, led by the fabulous Woods class! Here is a photograph of Georgia exploring her Coronation gift from the Living Painting Charity. Our tea party lunch was a hit with sandwiches, sausage rolls, pizza and a crown shaped biscuit! The winner of the class ‘Design a Celebratory Stamp’ competition will be announced next week. Congratulations to Chris for winning our whole school colouring competition that was a trust wide initiative. Chris’ design will be printed onto a plaque to sit proudly with our newly planted tree.
This week staff have participated in our evening training session on Sensory Processing Differences and how to provide all pupils with many opportunities to move and regulate their bodies to best access their learning.
Thank you to Abi Hall, Specialist Teacher for Visual Impairment for leading our parents workshop this week. Our next parent workshops are our Makaton revision sessions. If you have previously attended Makaton training (here or elsewhere), and would like to revisit core vocabulary, come along!
Next week we have our second Y6 residential group to Lea Green; pupil’s and staff are very excited. Please understand that staffing required on residentials does impact on staffing in school for obvious reasons. Thank you for your cooperation as we manage both school and visit requirements and ratios.
We wish Sophie, from Branches, lots of love & best wishes as she starts her maternity leave.
We hope you all have a lovely bank holiday and look forward to seeing more royal themed events on Tapestry! Enjoy your weekend celebrations.
