Happy New Year everyone! I hope you have all had a positive start to 2024.
It was lovely to welcome all of the children back to school on Monday. There were so many happy, smiley children walking through the front doors, but by the end of the day there were definitely lots of very tired looking children.
This half term we are starting topics about Travel & Journeys. I am sure that you will be seeing lots of learning activities about the new topics on your child’s tapestry journal.
We will be starting our rehearsals for “Hob Moor Oaks at the Musicals” next week with classes from Woodland & Forest Phase. Each class will be showcasing a song from a musical, followed by a whole school song. Class teams will be in contact with you if your child needs any specific clothes for the production. If you need any support with the items requested, please liaise with your child’s class teacher, and we will work with you to ensure that your child has the items they need. Next week we will be sending out letters to families with children in Woodland and Forest Phase with the dates and times of the show. Please use this to book your seats for these performances. Please note the change of date for “HMO at the Musicals” : Thursday 8th February at 10am and Friday 9th February at 1:30pm.
This week our Hob Moor Oaks HERO Award goes to “All of our amazing staff” as a thank you for all of their hard work, going above and beyond when working with our pupils. All class teams have received treats today as a “thank you”.
