Headteacher Update 1st March 2024

Dear Parents and Carers,

Classes are now in week 2 of their new topics; Orchard‘s theme is “Splishy, Splashy”, Woodland’s theme is “Mix it up” and Forest’s theme is “Shine a Light”. You should all have received your half termly newsletter about the  learning which will be taking place in the classroom.

This week we hosted a pop-up sports activity session led by KEEN. Thank you   to those parents & children who attended the session, and those that asked for further details.

Dan, one of our HLTA’s, has spent this week in Nottingham on a NAPPI Trainer Course. This will mean he will work alongside myself to deliver our  NAPPi staff training programme. We’re looking forward to hearing about how he got on and, of course, we’re excited to be part of his training sessions.

We will be celebrating “World Book Day” next week on Friday 8th March. Children can come to school dressed up or wear red. Each class has a class text, and we are encouraging children to dress up based on the theme of their book. Class   teachers will have shared more information with you, however please get in touch with your child’s class team if you need any help with costumes etc.

We look forward to inviting the “Special Ladies in our children’s lives” into school on Friday 8th March at 1:45pm. Please let your child’s class team know if you will be attending by Wednesday afternoon so we can make sure we know who to expect on the day. You are welcome to take your child home at 2:30pm but if your child usually travels on school transport, please let them know. Thank you.
