As the half term marches on, it is wonderful to see the progress our children have made and how well they have settled into school routines in such a short amount of time. As a school, we work hard to establish a range of strategies into our daily classroom practices and activities. We have lots of visuals in place to support pupils’ learning, regulation and transitions which we are able to share with you at home. Some examples include: “Green To Red Task Plans”, “First And Thens” & Social Stories. We regularly have lots of parents requesting support for these types of resources during EHCP’s and Parents Evenings to help with changes to routines, days out, holidays, visits to the Dentist or house moves. They are also a great resource to support personal care routines such as dressing and undressing. Please speak to your child’s class teacher if this is something we could support you with, or you would like to know more about what your child uses in their classroom.
