What a fantastic end to the half term! I am sure that there will be lots of tired pupils, and staff , after the busyness of this week!

I am confident that everyone who has attended “Hob Moor Oaks at the Musicals” this week will agree that Forest and Woodland Phase pupils were outstanding in their performances. There were so many smiles, cheers and tears from the audience. A huge “Well done” to all of our pupils who had their chance to shine in their class productions. I would also like to say “Thank you” to our amazing and talented staff, who without their hard work, the last two days would not have been what you saw! Class teachers will share photo highlights from the rehearsals and performances.

Some children in Orchard Phase were able to take part in their visits in the local community this week. Unfortunately the rain and snow meant that we had to postpone some but I am sure that you will understand that the safety of everyone on a visit is paramount. Class teachers will be in touch after half term with rescheduled dates.

On Monday, we held a “Celebration of Life” for Emmie. We were joined by Emmie’s family and friends, as well as staff and pupils. Thank you to Wendy for working so hard to make this a beautiful occasion.

Please see the diary dates for upcoming events next half term. More details will follow in late February about our combined “World Book Day” and “Special Ladies in our lives” celebration.

Don’t forget about our School Lottery – it’s never too late to join! For every £1 ticket you buy, 40p goes to Hob Moor Oaks and 36p goes into the weekly cash prize. It is a great way to donate to our school. Please don’t forget to share the link with your family and friends who may also want to join. Posters are attached with the newsletter giving sign up details and further information.

Wishing you all a relaxing half term, and we look forward to welcoming pupils back to school on Monday 19th February.
