Thank you for joining us to celebrate the year at our Family Fun Day. Although we had to make some last minute changes due to the weather, the afternoon was still a success!
Thank you for all your support this academic year, it has been so wonderful and we will celebrate this over the upcoming week.
This evening staff celebrate Karen Fowler on her retirement. Karen worked at Lidgett Grove special school since 1992, before the schools amalgamated to create Hob Moor Oaks. Karen has been such a supportive, dedicated and trustworthy member of staff. In her role as HLTA, Karen has taught across the whole school for many years, sharing her expertise and experience with staff as they develop their confidence and understanding of children with SEND. We will miss Karen greatly, her humour, listening ear and mentoring skills to name a few. We wish Karen a wonderful retirement, filled with adventure, time with family, friends and good health. Thank you for everything you’ve given the pupils, staff and families over the 30 years. A true friend and colleague to so many!
