The change in weather this week did not stop our learning taking place outside. The sudden snow flurry on Tuesday morning meant some lovely excitement over lunchtime. Please remember to make sure that your child comes into school wearing the appropriate clothes for the weather. We can send home social stories for you to share with your child about wearing coats, wellies etc. If you need them, please let your class teacher know.
Just a reminder that “Hob Moor Oaks at the Musicals” will be the following Phases: Woodland (Twigs, Saplings, Branches, Boughs & Roots) and Forest (Trunks, Woods, Catkins, Oak Leaves & Oak Trees). All classes will be in both performances.
Over the next few weeks our Year 6 families will be receiving more information about the date of their child’s residential visit. We are starting to plan our fundraising events/opportunities to help keep the cost of the trip down. Please can families let Gemma Scoreby know if they have a contact that may be able to sponsor a pupil to go on the visit. She can then pass on a letter giving further details. We have also had a very generous donation from the uncle of one of our pupils, and his team at “BrightLocal”, towards our residential. We are extremely grateful for this – thank you!
Shona is delivering a Makaton Level 1 training session on March 11th. Further details are on the back of this letter. These sessions are always really popular so please book early to avoid disappointment. As usual, booking is through ParentPay
And finally, please check the Diary Dates on the right so you know what is planned for your child over this Spring term.
Wishing you a lovely weekend.
