Dear Parents and Carers,
This week the weather has certainly started to change towards winter, with the frosty mornings and colder conditions. In school we work really hard to ensure that all children wear the right clothes for the weather. We have a social story which we use in school that can be shared with you to support your child at home. If you would like a copy of this social story, please ask your child’s class teacher.
It has been wonderful to see so many parents and carers in school for parents evening. These are key opportunities for conversations between home and school. They allow us to work together to update you on your child’s learning and progress, along with the next steps.
Next Friday, 8th December, is our whole school training day. We are looking forward to working with Andy Mellor and June Brade from SAS Wellbeing. They will focus on whole school staff wellbeing.
Today we launch our Makaton Advent Calendar on X (formerly Twitter). Each day we will share a new sign linked to Christmas. Make sure you follow us @hobmooroaks to see our daily Makaton Christmas sign. Don’t forget to practice the signs and share with your family and friends!
Our Christmas Fayre is Monday 11th December. The times are 9:30am—11:30am and 1:30pm–2:30pm. The break will allow Father Christmas to have some lunch! We have been really fortunate this year to have a charity donation enabling all HMO children to visit Father Christmas at the fayre free of charge. If any parents would like to donate to this charity event, here is the link https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/Jorvik-City-Hob-Moor?utm_term=PMK9ayE78 If siblings are attending the fayre and want to visit Santa, there will be a ticket cost of £3.00.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
