Dear Parents and Carers,
It was lovely to see so many families join us on Monday for our Golden Leaf Celebration Assembly. It is wonderful to share our pupil
achievements with our wider school community. We look forward to welcoming more families over the school year.
On Wednesday, we had Bamboozle in school. Bamboozle are a touring theatre company which produce immersive accessible theatre. Pupil’s
from Seedlings, Twigs, Trunks and Oak Leaves experienced the show “The River”. The children went on a journey which started at the river’s
source in the mountains. As the river flowed downstream, they encountered some lively river residents including an energetic salmon,
a stately heron in her nest, a playful otter, some dragonflies emerging from under the surface and even an elusive Kingfisher!
Pupil’s heard lots of live music, including instruments with tactile vibrations, as well as pre-recorded sounds which created layers of
atmosphere; these ranged from evoking a jaunty playfulness on the surface to the strange eeriness of the under-water world.
