Headteacher Update 28th April 2023

Happy Friday everyone!
We have finalised our plans to commemorate The King’s Coronation on Friday 5th
May. Please see the information below:-
We are really excited to receive our order from the Living Paintings Charity, We have
received a number of tactile Coronation gifts, designed and made for blind and visually
impaired children. Some children will be exploring these in class throughout next week
and will bring them home on Friday following our Coronation Celebrations.
We would like to invite children to design and make a crown at home to bring into
school on Friday 5th May to participate in our whole school parade and crown
competition, as well as a Federation non-uniform day in red, white and blue; a tea party
lunch [Please note: to receive this it had to have been pre-booked on ParentPay. If you
haven’t, then please send your child in with a packed lunch.]; whole class design a
stamp competition. Some children have participated in our Trust wide celebration to
design a plaque for our tree planting in school to commemorate the King’s Coronation.
We will announce the winner of this Ebor competition next week.
A further 20 drivers and PTA joined our virtual SEND training on Tuesday, led by
Shona. We hope this really supports all pupils to have positive journeys to and from
school.
Wishing you all a lovely bank holiday weekend. If you would like to attend our
themed Friday assembly on 5th May, please let class teacher’s
know via the care diary for seat numbers. Many thanks, Olivia
