Dear Parents and Carers.
Another wonderful week at HMO, even if it has been a little hot at times. Pupils have enjoyed lots of water play in order to cool down!
This week, we waved our final group of Year 6’s off on residential. They had a fabulous time conquering the skyline, zip wire and bikes, as well as enjoying a fabulous wheelchair abseil and spending time with friends.
Classes in school have continued to practice for our Sports Day. There are going to be some very competitive races this year! The children are using visuals, and lots of strategies, to learn to wait their turn too. Please can all pupils arrive in school on Friday 5th July in their PE kits ready for sports day. We are looking forward to seeing you all there to cheer us on.
Next week is the start of our class summer visits. On Monday Twigs are going to the seaside, Saplings are going to Pendragon on Tuesday, Wednesday sees Roots going to the seaside and on Thursday Boughs are also going to the seaside. We hope everyone has a wonderful time. If you haven’t done so already, please can you check ParentPay to confirm permissions for the visits.
During our Training Day today, staff had lots of different work sessions. Some staff learnt to drive our minibuses, others refreshed their skills in the use of PECS and Total Communication alongside NAPPI and Moving & Handling training.
