Headteacher Update 26th April 2024

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week our first group of Year 6 pupils have been to Lea Green. They completed activities such as the low ropes, zipline, campfire, soft play, stream walking and canoeing! Everyone arrived back to school looking very tired, but they’d all had a fantastic time!

Just a reminder that if you need your child to be seen by the Orthotics Team, then please contact them directly to book an appointment. Whilst we can support with appointments when the team are in school, parents must make requests with the team so that they can then be added to the in-school clinics.

Earlier this week I sent out a ParentHub message about how we are planning to work more closely with Wheelchair Services. This will include 2 services which will take place at Hob Moor Oaks – a wheelchair clinic and a wheelchair repair clinic. We are still in the initial stages of working with the Wheelchair Services Team, so, if your child has access to wheelchair services, it would be useful if you could provide some information including any equipment they supply or support using forms.gle/Zyfg5YLQFEtGKQVv5

At the start of the week you will have received the Ebor Academy Trusts Parental Survey via ParentHub. We would really appreciate you spending a few minutes to complete this survey so we, and Ebor Academy Trust, can obtain valuable feedback from families. Monday brought  some baby news. Congratulations to Jayne, in Twigs Class, on the safe arrival of Noa Felicity Elora Johnston who was born on Saturday 20th April weighing 9lb 7 oz. We send lots of love and best wishes to Jayne,  Richard and Tobin as they settle into being a family of four.

Wishing you a lovely weekend.
